Our Schedule of offerings for the 2023-24 Season has changed from previous years.
Fee Structure:
Beginner Foil class – $60 – An Introduction to Fencing for 4-5 weeks. Free USA Fencing Trial Membership must be emailed as a pdf to FencingClubAsheville@gmail.com. The first class is free, dues are due the second class.
Intermediate Foil class -$60 per month + $29 annual USA Fencing Access Level Membership – a class designed to be taken after the first beginners class and to prepare fencers for Open fencing in Foil (and Epee.) Fencers make take the intermediate class for a few months and move up to Open Fencing when they feel ready.
Club Membership – $120 annually + $29 annual USA Fencing Access Level Membership – access to Open Fencing – For experienced fencers the first practice is free so please do come and check us out. For fencers joining mid-season (after October) we will pro rate.
Sliding Scale/ Scholarship – If the above fees are cost prohibitive for you and you will not be able to fence due to the fees, we offer discounts based on need. Please email or talk to one of the coaches if this situation applies to you.
First time visit is free no matter what your experience level is.
Class and Open Fencing Schedule:
The September classes will start August 30th. All Sunday and Wednesday classes are at Asheville Catholic School in North Asheville. Competitive Class will meet at Fairview Community Center and the start date will be announced. Please note shift of some classes to sunday due to basketball season Oct-Feb.
